Tony Fagenson (born July 18, 1978) was the drummer for punk rock band Eve 6 before it disbanded in 2004.
A big fan of the FOX television show The X-Files, Fagenson was inspired to name the band Eve 6 after his favorite episode, "The Eves".
Tony is the son of the Grammy Award winning producer Don Was.

Even though Tony was turning 25 that night, he answered his cell phone and his face lit up as we realized it was his mother calling him to wish him a Happy Birthday which shows they still are on level ground.
Tony moved to New York when he was 7 and then eventually ended up in LA living with his father.
My interview with Tony proved that even “stars” are human as not only did he grant me an interview, he agreed to sit with a group of fans who asked him if they could ask him informal questions and he played along and even signed autographs.

The band formed in 1995 in La Crescenta, California as Eleventeen; the name Eve 6 was only adopted later, after they already had a recording contract and were looking for a replacement drummer.
Tony Fagenson, who auditioned while attending the University of Southern California, was an X-Files fan.
After seeing the episode "Eve", which featured genetically engineered characters known as "Eves," he got the name from the character called Eve #6 who made a remark about biting a guard's eyeball, which Fagenson thought merited "Eve 6" as a band name.

INTERESTING INFO: Tony is the son of famed and multi- grammy award winning producer, Don Was.
He was introduced to the rest of the band through their manager.
They were called Eleventeen first(i find that funny, because when i was 2, besides saying eleven,i would say eleventeen), but then Tony got the rest of the band hooked on "X-files" and they started watching an episode everyday(Tony has them all on tape) and that episode came on and they just loved Eve 6.

They're well on their way with their second - and far more cohesive - RCA album, "Horrorscope" (released July 25), and their first single, "Promise." The album debuted a few weeks ago at No. 34 on Billboard's pop chart, and "Promise" recently peaked at No. 3 on the modern rock tracks chart.
