Tony Thompson vs. Dominick Guinn (June 28, 2006)
Thompson continued to pull away in the second half of the fight and returned to scoring not only from distance but also in close quarters against his opponent, who repeatedly made the mistake of moving right rather than left.
Thompson connected with a number of punishing shots and referee Jon Schorle seemed on the verge of halting the contest simply because Guinn was unable to return fire.
Thompson continued to tee off on Guinn for the rest of the round, and he was forced to retreat and simply offered little to no resistance.

VH1.com : Tony Thompson : Biography - Urge Music Downloads
Hailing from New York City, Thompson made a name for himself in the late '70s as one of the dance movement's leading drummers -- due to his hard-hitting style (which hinted that his playing was equally influenced by hard rock).
Thompson's stature as one of rock's leading drummers only became greater by the middle of the decade, as he participated in the all-star Duran Duran side project, the Power Station.
Thompson continued as a session drummer afterwards (appearing on recordings by Robert Palmer, Duran Duran, Platinum Blonde, Rod Stewart, and Jody Watley), but by the '90s appeared to vanish entirely -- although he appeared sporadically as part of "tribute" albums (Jimi Hendrix's Stone Free, Queen's Stone Cold Crazy, and Aerosmith's One Way Street).

Tony flew straight to Los Angeles from England after being released from the hospital, with barely a word, having established a life that I knew nothing about while there for a Zildjian photo shoot in September of 1985.
Then Tony, completely nervous on the inside, but confident on the outside, said, ‘I’m available if you’re looking for a drummer….completely available.’ I vaguely remember David saying that he thought Tony was completely busy and involved with other projects.
Tony’s expertise in rhythmic complexity and his sheer strength and power, when not confined by a ‘simplistic disco’ beat, exploded in his later work with David Bowie, Power Station and Robert Palmer.
