The Marlies had a 2-3-1-1 record against the Moose in 2005-06, with both victories coming after regulation time (one in overtime, the other in shootout).
Marlies right winger Brett Engelhardt says playing against their North Division rival has to improve if Toronto wants to return to the playoffs.

Toronto’s first goal came when John Mitchell skated a puck into the Phantoms zone and stopped on the right half wall before playing it to the top of the right circle for Stefan Kronwall.
The Marlies were trying to clear the puck from their own right corner when a wayward pass came to Meloche in the circle.

TORONTO (Reuters) - Paul Maurice was named head coach of the National Hockey League's Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday, succeeding Pat Quinn, who was fired in late April.
Maurice, who was hired last season to coach the Leafs' minor league affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, had been considered the logical choice to replace Quinn.
Maurice was able to lead the Marlies into the postseason during his one year behind the bench.

Though Toronto is the center of the hockey universe, the Marlies are treated like a junior B team by the media...little to no coverage, and rarely do I hear about company's giving away Marlies tickets, etc.
I definitely like having the Marlies in town and would miss them if they left, but access to the Ricoh for me from the northern 'burbs is crappy.
I also don't think that they market the Marlies very well at all and even driving there was a little crazy, so yeah, accessibility seems to be a problem.
