Queen’s is now undoubtedly the College to beat in Torpids, and must be looking to launch a convincing and sustained attempt on the Headships in the coming years.
The crew bumped each day within half of the full racing course, demonstrating that they were not only better, but 'in a different league' to their opposition.
First division blades are unusual: except for the headship blades, no first division torpid (of any college) has won blades since 1996, and no first division boat has risen 5 or more places since at least 1992.

This is not due to any lack of standard or ability, despite the fact that the current university level rowers are not allowed to row for their colleges in Torpids.
In Torpids there is the added fun of the possibility that a crew could be bumped down a number of times in one day - only the boats that have managed to bump up drop out of the racing.
The crew that is top of division one of each the men's and women's competition is said to be head of the river - hence the name of the pub which sits next to Folly Bridge.

If Torpids goes ahead, there is a decision to make: either race Torpids and scratch from the Eights Head, or (my preference) race the first three days of Torpids and then head to London on the Saturday and scratch from the final day of Torpids.
I also note that this year, when Torpids was completely canceled, that the OURCs ran a mini-regatta the next week which involved a head race from which the top finishers qualified for a seeded single-elimination tournament-style side-by-side regatta.

The main inconvenience to this plan is Torpids, the silly Winter bumps race held in late February or early March, depending on the year.
I was always an advocate of scrapping Torpids altogether, maybe replacing it with a multi-day head race (safer than bumps, particularly on a high stream).
The crews I tended to turn out for Torpids did the event for experience, and did not always include the most obvious line-ups since not everyone was available to train on the water regularly in the Winter.

Fresh rainfall, adding to an already high and fast stream, has led to the cancellation of Oxford's Torpids, so there'll be no racing on Friday or Saturday.
The reason for the early cancellation of Saturday's rowing is because "the river will still be too high, and too fast, for us to guarantee getting the crews on bunglines safely," said the Senior Umpire.
The river is still rising from last night's upstream showers, and running at a high rate which won't drop for several days even if it stays dry.
