Pakistan has raised its annual defence expenditures by over 15 per cent to Rs223.5bn in the budget for the new fiscal, which begins on July 1, from last year’s Rs193.9bn, which was increased to Rs216.2bn as a revision for adjusting the inflation in 2004-05.
