History of Tottenville   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-19)
Located on the southern tip of Staten Island, Tottenville occupies the southernmost part of New York City, combining the advantages of its proximity to Manhattan with the feeling of small town life.
Tottenville today is primarily residential and has remained one of the quietest and least populated towns on Staten Island, not to mention NYC, perhaps because of its location.
Although Tottenville has progressively grown over the years, especially during its recent spurt, it has managed to maintain its warmth and strong sense of community.
