Jbel (Jebel) Toubkal is a mountain peak in southwestern Morocco.
It is located 63 km south of the city of Marrakech, in the Toubkal National Park.
From that point a path crosses the stream, climbs a steep scree slope to the east and enters a valley (corrie), then climbs another steep slope to reach a col (Tizi'n'Toubkal at 3,940m).

I laid a gigantic turd which was tastefully used, together with a dead goat, as a base for an energetic game of Aki 123.
There was a feeling that whilst we were pleased to have conquered Toubkal, it was only a small part of a greater tour – the remote villages, gorge, camaraderie and friendship of the Berbers had all formed the experience.
This said, now we had achieved the target, there was a move from the Divisions boys to walk straight down the valley the next day rather than cross a ridge to a further campsite.

Low clouds clung to the terraced mountainside and an all-pervading dampness filled the air as we setout from the village of Imli heading for Mount Toubkal (4165 m), Morocco's highest mountain.
The evening in Toubkal hut was spent playing various obscure card games with Laz, the Americans, and an English couple, Richard and Heather with whom we'd done the second half of the trek, after loosing the Americans to illness.
The rain persisted all the way back and by the time we finally reached Imlil I think everyone was secretly relieved to see it.
