I agree w/ Where2Travel that the London Bridge Hotel is convenient to the tube/main line stations.
You would be very near London Bridge Rail station (which has a bus station outside) and London Bridge underground (Tube) station, both which will provide useful connections for you.
But it is in the far east end of central London so, except for the Tower of London/Tower Bridge and the river, it is a very long way from any tourist attractions/sites.

Photo taken on the East Walkway, below is Bulter's Wharf and the white building is the Design Museum, I used Bus Number 15 or getting off at Tower Hill Tube Station on the Circle and District Lines, followed by a short walk to reach the Tower Bridge Experience.
It was decided East London needed a new crossing, but how to have a bridge and allow ships to sail into London as well, after a lot of discussion over several designs and possiblities, Tower Bridge was chosen and built and has been a landmark on the Thames since 1893.
Tower Bridge has a new tour now which tells its complete history and where you can view London from the walkways, from where these photo's were taken.
