Toyota proper took the idea of a concept vehicle in a different direction with its i-unit, which is clearly not a standard car pimped out with techie treats.
In a fully functioning i-unit, its short front windshield would have an inner display to communicate information to the driver, as well as six different cameras to maintain safety on the road and a mechanism to prevent users from driving drunk.
The i-unit is meant to work with computerized roads, so it can communicate with the surface it rides on, according to Decker.
