Asiatic jessamine (Trachelospermum asiaticum) is a widely grown evergreen groundcover, especially prominent in Zone 8 and warmer landscapes of the southeastern U.S. Despite the popularity of this plant, relatively few cultivars exist in the trade.
Asiatic jessamine is shy to flower (compared to Confederate jessamine, Trachelospermum jasminoides), and as such, you are less likely to have plants produce the sweet-scented flowers typical of this genus.
