Tracy did do well at the U.S. Open, but because she didn't have the fluidity for Wimbledon or the variety on her groundstroke for the French, her records there are not nearly so impressive.
Austin was not as self-absorbed as Evert who always made excuses when she lost a Wimbledon final like 'I was in love' or some other vain excuse.
