The Tradewater Pirates are 4-2 on the season after splitting games with the Southern Indiana Cardinals and the St. Louis Golden Spikes.
On Saturday, the Pirates rode the pitching of Joel Brown, who was spectacular, and the solid relief effort of Brian Wilburn, to a 6-2 victory over the Cardinals at Riverside Park.
Tradewater took one on the chin against the Spikes, dropping an 8-7 decision.

Semi-pro baseball team started playing in summer of 1999 at Riverside Park, an all-wooden early 20th century-style stadium also built in 1999.
The stadium is built in a horseshoe bend in the Tradewater River across the from the site known locally as the "Old Mill Dam." As you look out from the stadium bluffs form a beautiful backdrop against the outfield as you can listen to the river flowing over the old dam.
