Buderim-Palmwoods Heritage Tramway Inc. featuring the Krauss & Shay Locomotives
The Palmwoods to Buderim ‘tramway’ was built as a railway, in that it did not follow roads, and it had a separate permanent way with large bridges, cuttings and embankments.
It was technically significant and demonstrated an uncommon aspect of Queensland’s cultural heritage because it had a 2 foot 6 inch (0.762m) gauge as opposed to 2’0"(0.6096m) for the sugar mill trams and 3’6"(1.0668m) for the Queensland Rail mainline, and it was privately constructed.
The first project is the restoration of part of the old tramway track as a heritage walking trail, and the second project is the cosmetic restoration of the original Krauss locomotive that operated for the whole working life of the line.

 Barnsley and District Tramway Information
The Barnsley electric tramway was a narrow gauge 3 ft 6 in (1067 mm) line, running from Smithies (near Monk Bretton Colliery) to the south of Barnsley, 2 miles south of the town centre to two termini, at Worsborough Bridge and Worsborough Dale.
The Barnsley tramway was to be larger than it actually were but the Great Central Railway company refused the passing of tramway tracks of its own network, and prevented authorised lines to be built.
Other extensions were to extend the tramway into a loop on Park road in Locke Park and south from Worsborough Bridge down Sheffield Road to Hoyland Common, this extension was also blocked by the GCR.

 Aerial tramway at AllExperts
An aerial tramway is a type of aerial lift, often called a cable car or ropeway, and sometimes incorrectly referred to as a gondola.
An aerial tramway is one or two fixed cables (called track cables), one endless loop of cable (called a haulage rope), and two passenger cabins.
Aerial tramways differ from gondola lifts in that the latter use several smaller cabins circulating on a looped cable, and can be stopped at intermediate or end stations for passenger loading and unloading when uncoupled from their haulage cable by releasing cable grips.

 Tramway Financial Modeling
Estimated initial and long term cost must be made early in the feasibility phase of the project in order to assess the financial liability of the utilization of a tramway within the project.
Additional project benefits must be assessed based upon no only their enhanced values created by the existence of the tramway but also upon their ability to provide an income source to pay back the initial cost of the tramway along with the long term cost of operations.
It is better to find out early in the project that a tramway may not be feasible than to spend valuable resources only to determine that the original model was too optimistic.
