  Astronomical transit
A transit is the astronomical event that occurs when one celestial body appears to move across the face of another celestial body, as seen by an observer at some particular vantage point.
For instance, the Sun transits the meridian at solar noon.

 Transits
Unless the planets turn retrograde and station at a degree that is important in an individual chart they are unlikely to produce any lasting observable effects, although their transits may mark off a "trigger" for a more important transit of a heavier planet or a progressed aspect.
The "Saturn" return to its birth position, near age 30, is interpreted as a fulfillment of both the natal potential and the beginning of a new cycle of accomplishment.
Transits through the Eastern hemisphere, houses 10 through 3, will find activities ruled by the planet more self determined and directed, whereas, while transits move through the Western hemisphere, houses 4 through 9, activities governed by this planet will be influenced by others in some way.

When one is born with even one of the outer planets on his or her angles, or conjunct or in hard aspect to a personal planet, then their task on earth is exceptional and difficult.
Saturn transiting the Sun by conjunction is a time when even the most "whole" person feels his or her limitations, and the unconscious intent of that transit is to break down the old Ego and begin he reconstruction of a new way of being.
When Saturn transits the descendant, and begins its transit of the upper horizon, according to the Heroic Journey paradigm, the person is "bringing the boon to mankind, in J. The current standard for planet discovery matches the periodic forward-and-backward wobbles of nearby stars to the gravitational tug of their companion planets.
The bigger and closer the planet, the more obvious the tidal wobbles, which partly explains why many giant planets, "hot Jupiters" that race around their stars more closely, have been among the first to turn up.
Most of the "extra-solar" planets — those outside our solar system — discovered so far don't look like tourist spots: They are Jupiter- and Saturn-size balls of gas, some orbiting close enough to their stars to boast superheated molten-iron skies and completely inhospitable atmospheres.
