The transmitters always use frequencies that are even multiples of 10 kHz and they have good frequency precision.
At my place the Mojahedin transmitters are never very strong - the jammers as a rule are much stronger and will cover the Mojahedin signal with a high degree of kill, but since the Mojahedin transmitters are likely to be using directional antennas they will also be harder to counteract within Iran.
Marnach 1440 is currently using 300 kW; only during the religious broadcasts they turn up the power to full 1200 kW.

I started with a Hewlett Packard with 1 million pixels, it didn't take long before I bought a better one (Canon Digital Ixus) and started expanding the site.
A trip to The Grand Duchy of Luxemburg brought back the memories and I was now finally able to take pictures of the transmitter sites at Junglinster and Marnach, which I had never seen up-close before.
Since that day I've been driving around taking pictures of antennas and placing them on the internet.

The 208m/1440khz aerial system for nightime transmissions works purely on skywave signal only to make it travel the very long distance that it does at night.
Even in Luxembourg City itself, or even 10 or so miles away from the TX in Marnach, the signal fades in just the same way - daytime its like a local station with a rock solid groundwave signal.
The TX in Marnach is just over an hours drive north of Luxembourg City in the farthest north part of Luxembourg Duchy and is in a very high area of the country.

Going to Rock-am-Ring June 2005 with my teenage sons, hope to have a little detour past Marnach to show them where the signal that all we oldies listened to and talk about came from.
