There was no reference to the call letters of the stations using those frequencies and (surprising to me) no mention of WBCQ and its frequencies (where I'd think they are spending most of their SW broadcast budget).

At issue is the station's transmitter in the town of Santa Maria di Galeria near Rome.
Transmitter stayed on for a couple of minutes at the end of the broadcast and there was a slight hum on it which made me think it could be Wavre as Radio Ezra was using, but seems an odd choice of frequency (Mike Barraclough, England, 1st April, DX LISTENING DIGEST) ?

The transmitter is located at Wavre, Brabant-Wallon and the power is 300 kW.
It is interesting to note that the contestant singer submitted by France was not even French, but a Walloon, and perhaps this is why no French national radio station covered the event, and it was relegated to the secondary public television service France3 (the equivalent of BBC-2 with regions).
I would hazard a guess that you have probably heard some classical music on (although it is not a classical music station) on Deutschland Radio on 720 kHz from Langenberg at 200 kW.

Hi Glenn, in DX-publications the large transmitter center in Armenia is typically referred to as either "Kamo" or "Gavar".
Considering that it appears that they are still having antenna problems down at the transmitter site (to sum it up: the company who put thier antenna up did a shabby job).

The transmitters are up just about as the feeder lines have been plugged in directly to the curtain arrays.
The transmitter is the one Frecuencia Lider--R Bambamarca was planning to operate as "R Estacion Norte." Owner is Maximo Zamora Medina.

The transmitter on 7145 sounds more than 10 kW, but further investigation is needed.
No further information was given on the reasons why, leaving it up to DXers and the DX community to go on debating the real value of these new QSL's.

The second picture shows a mediumwave transmitter I think, since I seem to recall another look for a 250 kW Brown Boveri shortwave transmitter (one of the now unused VRT units in the case of Wavre).
The premises are currently under renovation and will have a transmitter imported from Chile and will begin broadcasting in early February.
Re 6-017: The 5027v transmitter (reported as having drifted as high as 5033) is currently around 5024.

Their aim is to "improve the international understanding", while their programming is in German only and to 80 percent music.
The transmitter site should, according to German DXer Kai Ludwig and Swedish DXer Olle Alm, rather be in eastern Europe, than stated "somewhere in western Europe".

CRI German service already shows the transmission 1600-1757 on 5970 and 7155 in their schedule at http://de.chinabroadcast.cn/21/2003/12/18/1@2624.htm The modulation characteristics of the new Cërrik transmitters are identical to the ones at Shijak, suggesting that the design is basically the same.
In mean time transmitter Deanovec 100 kW is tuned from 1125 to 1134 kHz instead, because our listeners are usually on this frequency because 600 kW transmitter site in Zadar has better reception in Europe.
