LIBREVILLE, GABON (May 3, 2004) — Today, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) awarded a $162,000 grant to the Government of Gabon through the National Parks Council to fund technical assistance related to the development of transportation infrastructure to serve the country’s national park system.
U.S. Ambassador to Gabon Kenneth P. Moorefield signed an agreement conferring the grant on behalf of the U.S. Government in a ceremony held at the U.S. Embassy in Libreville.
A key area reviewed was the country’s need for more effective transportation systems to serve the development projects that Gabon and international partners are beginning to plan.
