Guatemala has long claimed all or part of the territory of neighboring Belize, which used to be part of the Guatemalan Republic since Colonial times.

The union demanded that those responsible for the murder of ROBERTO MARTINEZ be brought to justice, that the case not become another example of impunity, and that officials seriously investigate solutions to the public transportation problem.
