 | | Among those who said transportation was a major problem, the most frequent concerns were lack of intercity transportation, insufficient public transportation or none at all in their locale, lack of sidewalks, limited or no door-to-door transportation and inaccessible streets, walkways and intersections. |
 | | Transportation dependent households: Two thirds (65.5%) of respondents or 2,526 individuals reported there are persons in their households, age 16 or older, who are dependent on public transportation or rides from friends or relatives because they do not drive or do not have a car. |
 | | Lack of intercity transportation was also a prime concern for respondents who indicated problems getting to stores, restaurants and events and those who said they need better transportation in order to live independently in their communities. |
