Transwa (pronounced Trans-W-A) provides rail and road (coach) services to about 275 locations in WA, from Kalbarri in the north to Meekatharra in the northeast, Esperance in the southeast and Augusta in the southwest.
Also on display were six of Transwa's new coaches, the first consignment of a fleet of 20 which will replace the existing 23-coach fleet.
Transwa general manager John Powell said the timing of the launch was significant in that it came only days after the passing of the Public Transport Authority Act, which clears the way for the establishment of the Public Transport Authority as a single-focussed transport agency.

I stayed at the Dunsborough Inn * which describes itself as "superior budget accommodation." I found the Inn to be very clean and reasonable, offering a range of accommodation options from single shared facilities rooms to motel style accommodation.
The backpackers is in town and very close to the Transwa bus terminal.
