| | Phil G- Life- The Tranz Rail anti-student policy (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-30) |
 | | Now, Tranz Rail has issued a letter that had been given to schools to pass on to their students in response to "fare evasion, misuse of Term Passes and bad behaviour". |
 | | This is because many older commuters don't wish to share the trains with students as students, being young people, are generally louder and more energetic (but not necessarily badly behaved), and see their journey on the train as a social gathering, not a quiet time to read a book as many adults see it. |
 | | To have an end to both of these problems would be good, but I think that Tranz Rail should solve the problem with its own people before it starts complaining about increases in bad behaviour among students. |
