One of TravelBlog's members, "kps," was recently in Basrah, Iraq, as part of the reconstruction project.
In response to another user's comment, the blogger stated that it is good to have first-hand experiences in a country, beyond what is in the news.
It would be great if travel stories and reports on world culture took a higher precedence in modern newspapers and magazines, Watters wrote, although he is aware of the shareholders that these media outlets must report to.

What this tool would require is a rather massive database capable of matching incoming GPS data from your phone to location-specific data, and in turn squirt that information onward to your blog.
With a few simple thumbstrokes, a record of any location could be generated to your travelblog, including the name and basic contact details of the establishment, its city and nation, the time and date you were there, Cool!
Perhaps revenue streams could come from advertising, membership fees, and listing fees for restaurants, hotels and the like.

Found a bar on Main Bazaar and ended up chatting with an Australian fellow from the Gold Coast who was in India on his own before rejoining his wife in Kuala Lumpur to fly on to the UK.
We've been sailing for almost 2 hours now, I'm sitting at a table in a smoking area, surrounded by Greek families on their way back to their islands for the Easter celebrations.
The entire travelblog on my stay in Stockholm has somehow been deleted so this is an attempt to recreate those memories.
