Travnik is a very interesting little town, a former capital of Bosnia and the place where the oldest Madrasa(religious school) in the country was built.
Travnik used to be a residence of viziers, political and religious government during the period of Turkish domination.

The Education for Peace (EFP) Project—administered by Landegg Academy in Switzerland, and funded by the Government of Luxemburg—aims to contribute to the creation of a culture of peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina by equipping teachers, students, and parents to become peacemakers.
The purpose of the National Peace Event is to bring together students from varied ethnic and religious backgrounds for an exchange of reflections based on the EFP curriculum, thus providing a vehicle for the young people of Bosnia and Herzegovina to proclaim the principles of peace to the population at large.
Travnik will host a similar event in May, and a final international event will be held in Sarajevo in June.
