When A Treasure's Trove was released in December 2004, Michael Stadther announced that hidden in the pages of his book were clues that, when deciphered, would lead to 12 18-karat gold tokens hidden throughout the continental United States.  Thousands of the book's fans were enthralled by the prospect of finding treasure, especially this treasure.
To claim one of the treasures, you had to decipher the clues in A Treasure's Trove and on the book's website, go to an exact location, and find a gold token.
