	International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources<
		The Treaty is vital in ensuring the continued availability of the plant genetic resources that countries will need to feed their people.
		The Treaty provides for sharing the benefits of using plant genetic resources for food and agriculture through information-exchange, access to and the transfer of technology, and capacity-building.
		The Treaty recognizes the enormous contribution that farmers and their communities have made and continue to make to the conservation and development of plant genetic resources.

	CRNR/DC/94: WIPO Copyright Treaty
		The agreed statements of the Diplomatic Conference (that adopted the Treaty) concerning certain provisions of the WCT are reproduced in the original text of the Treaty as footnotes under the provisions concerned.
		(1) This Treaty is a special agreement within the meaning of Article 20 of the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works, as regards Contracting Parties that are countries of the Union established by that Convention.
		This Treaty shall be open for signature until December 31, 1997, by any Member State of WIPO and by the European Community.

	WIPO Copyright Treaty
