  Frederick William I - LoveToKnow 1911
By the treaty of Schwedt, concluded with Russia on the 6th of October, he was assured of an important influence in the solution of the Baltic question, which during the long absence of Charles XII.
And so, by the treaty of Stockholm (February 1, 1720), Frederick William succeeded in obtaining the consent of Sweden to the cession of that part of Pomerania which he had occupied (Usedom, Wollin, Stettin, Hither Pomerania, east of the Peene) in return for a payment of 2,000,000 thalers.
A breach with the emperor was now inevitable, and this explains why in a last treaty (April 5, 1 739) Frederick William obtained from France a guarantee of a part, at least, of Berg (excluding Dusseldorf).

In the Treaty of Neuberg, concluded between the Habsburg Dukes Albert III and Leopold III on September 9, 1379 in Neuberg an der Mürz, the Habsburg lands were divided between the two brothers.
While Albert retained the Duchy of Austria, Leopold became the exclusive ruler of Styria (including Wiener Neustadt), Carinthia, Carniola, the Windish March, Gorizia, the Habsburgs' posessions in Friuli, Tyrol and Further Austria.
With the treaty began a split between the Albertinian and Leopoldinian lines of the Habsburg families and the Austrian lands which was to end only in 1490.

The treaty concluded in 1725 at Vienna between the emperor and Spain brought the whole of this question up again, for both sides had pledged themselves to support the Palatinate-Sulzbach succession (in the event of the Palatinate-Neuberg line becoming extinct).

Treaty Did You Mean treaty?   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-09)
Treaties can be called by many names: treaties, international agreements, protocols, covenants, conventions, exchanges of letters, exchanges of notes, etc.; however all of these are equally treaties, and the rules are the same regardless of what the treaty is called.
Treaties can be loosely compared to contracts: both are means of willing parties assuming obligations among themselves, and a party to either that fails to live up to their obligations can be held legally liable for that breach.
Such treaties between colonizers and indigenous peoples are an important part of political discourse in the late 20th and early 21st century, but the treaties being discussed are internationally considered to be part of the nation's domestic law, and to have little international standing.

We, the undersigned organizations, are writing to express our concern over the “Draft Treaty in Respect to Databases” to be discussed at the diplomatic conference in Geneva this December on behalf of the World Intellectual Property Organization (the “Treaty”).
If enacted as proposed, the Treaty will do violence to the long-established practice in the academic and scientific communities of sharing information for educational and research purposes and will commercialize certain information that is and has always been freely available.
But, the proposed Treaty would make the use of databases by the public or scientific and research communities even more prohibitive by permitting database owners or vendors to arbitrarily determine what portion of a database can be extracted, used, or reused.
