It is currently presumed that the bonding the Royal Family goes through with their TreeShips creates the forehead power markings, perhaps as a link to each tree, and from there to Tsunami herself.
This, therefore, means that as long as a Juraian stays near a tree (whether it be a bonded Royal TreeShip or a fleet Treeship, or Planetside) their lifespan is greatly enhanced, a blessing we can only assume comes from Tsunami.
However, it is wise to remember that the aging process does not slow until the age of 16, when most Nobles are bonded and most on-planet Juraians slow aging.

The use of Jurai power to fuse a seed from the parent tree, and to form the vessel around that seed, allowed such vessels to be reproduced quickly.
But this had the limitation of only one seeded Treeship at a time, hence the problem of mass-produced ships, this role was filled by lesser Treeships, mass-produced from simpler tree seeds, allowing for the account of so many vessels in the Jurai sphere of influence.
