 Rumney v Treherbert 27.11.2004
Playing well from the start, they found themselves in Treherbert territory for much of the opening period, and with Ryan Sutton again dominant in the lineout, the backs were always ready to attack from deep.
Outside half James Macdonald and Maclean were in fine form with their line kicking for Rumney and although Treherbert scrum half Dai Cambourne kept his pack going forward with clever chips, Macdonald was finding increasing length with his return kicks and restoring the advantage to his side.
More clever play by Cambourne led to a good period for Treherbert and with Rumney conceding a series of penalties, the visitors surprisingly failed to add any further points to their score, but with Ben Morris now at scrum half and playing a very controlled game, the home side still maintained an edge.

 Treherbert v Rumney 16.04.2005
Treherbert attacked from the restart, but the visitors' defence was sound and counterattacks frequently took play back into Treherbert territory where Maclean, Clements, wingers Michael O'Neill and Joey Offside and Kelly all threatened to score.
Penetrating breaks by scrum half Ben Morris and Man of the Match Hanmer increased the pressure and Treherbert were forced into conceding a penalty which Maclean succesfully kicked in the sixty fifth minute.
Rumney spent the final quarter battering the Treherbert defences with Morris, centre Paul Niblett, Gale and Jones finding gaps and Price and hooker Neal Ritchie probing effectively, but the home side managed to break down the attacks and the score remained at 13 - 8 until Haydn Davies blew the final whistle.

The home side kicked a lot of possession into the visitors’ hands and it was usually returned with interest by a disciplined team.
Again Llanharan ran a loose kick from their own twenty two, Cross and Lee Thorne exercising a scissors for Thorne to race up field where flanker Ashley Dommitt was on hand to touch down, Williams once more converting.
Treherbert responded strongly with an early try after the turn around and then Williams put over a penalty after referee Mr Conway, who handled the game well, punished the home team for a high tackle on Dan Smith.
