The Triglav Lakes Valley closes to the north-west in a ridge that reaches its highest point in the summit of Veliko Spicje, which is also affectionately known as Lepa spica ("Beautiful Spoke").
The raised Triglav Lakes Valley is reached by a climb up from the Koca pri Savici hut in Bohinj via the steep incline of Komarca and the lower part of the Lopucniska valley.
From the hut the trail continues up along the valley, and soon enough the markers indicate a trail to the left in the direction of a long ridge bordering the valley.
