Trigon (comics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Trigon was the all-powerful ruler of an alterate dimension, who ruled in a sadistic and self-serving manner; he also desired to spread his evil to Earth's dimension.
Trigon was born in another dimension through the mating of a female member of a mystic sect and the god they worshipped.
After Trigon left her, Arella was on the brink of suicide when an extra-dimensional cult found her and brought her to Azarath (the otherdimensional home of the cult) where Raven was born and was taught to "control her emotions" in order to suppress and control Trigon's demonic powers that she was born with.

Animation Insider - Trigon discussion thread
I don't really know Trigon in the comics and right now he is taking his little nap during the show.
But then again, Trigon's comic counterpart has other great stories behind him that the creators will never ever use (like his meeting with Arella, transforming Raven into his evil demon daughter, another prophecy (aaagh!) etc) I'd stick with the one going on in the Raven arc.
Trigon is awesome, and it would be awesome to be Trigon, because he can be in 2 places at once.

Not that the Terror of Trigon is necessarily a nadir of the Wolfman-Perez collaboration...but I'm not sure it's considered a peak either.
Overall, however, I found The Terror of Trigon just didn't quite grip me. Part of the problem with that is that it's an apocalyptic tale with Trigon enslaving the world...but most of the action takes place within a few blocks.
Trigon attacks the Titans psychologically, confronting each with a dream sequence where they are taunted with their various insecurities and neurosies by evil dopplegangers of themselves.

Look at the Trigon saga by perez and wolfman they made it seem like the world was going to end and it did.
I just want the kids to save the world again by using their every resource they have and really have to put their ass on the line, It would make a much more compelling story and the rest of the DC universe would be able to see them as they should be seen.
I'm not saying to do the whole trigon thing again at all.....I just want the kids to come against something almost unbeatable and overcome the odds almost like an"infinity gauntlet" type of story.

This left Changeling freed, and in the final confrontation, the piece of Raven’s soul that Starfire had carried was able to destroy Trigon’s soul forever (for the third time, mind you), leaving Raven a disembodied, but pure, spirit.
