KYCO is a timeline of Kentucky counties noting when each was formed either as part of Virginia or after the Commonweath of Kentucky was formed as well as showing the origin of each county (i.e., from what older county or counties the newer county was formed.

Trimble County, located in Northern Kentucky, was established in 1837, and was named in honor of Robert Trimble, a Chief Justice of the Kentucky Court of Appeals who was appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1826.
Trimble County, due to its proximity to the Ohio River, was one of the primary destinations of slaves who attempted escape from their Kentuckian owners.
Pro-Southern neighbors of the farm became suspicious, and brought charges against Trimble County's "Petticoat Abolitionist." She appeared before a magistrate, was indicted by the court, imprisoned in Bedford, and was eventually forced to leave the state.

On Thursday, November 18, 2004 the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will hold a public meeting to discuss improvements to US 421 from the interchange with I-71 in Henry County to Bedford in Trimble County.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has released the final report for the conceptual feasibility study for the Northern Kentucky Outer Loop, and the finding is that such an outer loop is not feasible.
The proposed route would connect with I-74 in Indiana, pass into Kentucky at the Markland Dam in Gallatin County, travel east-west across Kentucky, cross the Ohio River into Ohio at the William H. Harsha bridge near Maysville, and connect with a proposed extension of I-74 in Ohio.

FRANKFORT, KY -- (February 10, 2006) -- A field trip to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in Frankfort helps local Trimble County Middle School students in their quest for knowledge about repairs to the US-421, Madison-Milton Bridge.
Students who are part of the schools' Espirit Accelerated program used the day at the cabinet's central office building to conduct research on the bridge.
Goins says the students have already met with officials from the City of Milton and Trimble County in Kentucky and they plan to meet with representatives from Madison, IN next week to discuss the bridge's future.

The Trimble County Station, with 80 full-time employees, has one 514-megawatt (net) coal-fired unit which went commercial in 1990.
The existing coal-fired unit at the Trimble County plant is jointly owned by the Illinois Municipal Electric Agency (IMEA,12.12% of generating capacity), the Indiana Municipal Power Agency (IMPA, 12.88% of generating capacity) and E.ON U.S. (balance).
