In November 2002, WGM missionary to Bolivia David Strong arrived in Trinidad to inspect the plane and compile a list of needed items in preparation for a special mechanical work team he would be leading in January 2003.
During their time in Bolivia, work team members installed a new engine, a new propeller, and new fiberglass fuel tanks, which involved the removal and reattachment of the wings; did a complete inspection of the plane; and worked on the plane’s radios and instruments.
