Trinity County is a county located in northwestern California, along the Trinity River and among the Klamath Mountains.
Trinity County was one of the original counties of California, created in 1850 at the time of statehood.
In the county the population was spread out with 22.80% under the age of 18, 5.10% from 18 to 24, 22.70% from 25 to 44, 32.10% from 45 to 64, and 17.20% who were 65 years of age or older.

Siskiyou County was created on March 22, 1852 from parts of Shasta and Klamath Counties, and named after the Siskiyou mountain range.
In the county the population was spread out with 24.00% under the age of 18, 6.70% from 18 to 24, 22.70% from 25 to 44, 28.40% from 45 to 64, and 18.10% who were 65 years of age or older.
The median income for a household in the county was $29,530, and the median income for a family was $36,890.

The Wintu Indian tribe were the first humans to make the Trinity County area a permanent home hundreds or perhaps thousands of years before the first white men set foot in the North American continent.
The big rush for gold in the Trinity River did not begin until late 1849 or early 1850, and was in full swing by the end of 1850.
By the 1960s the Trinity, Lewiston, and Whiskeytown dams were completed, forming Clair Engle Lake, and drowning Trinity Meadows and some of the best salmon and steelhead fishing left in California.

In 1966 several others and myself were in the Trinity national forest near Wildwood California.

A story in the Redding (Calif) Record Searchlight newspaper of May 20, 1999, says that several witnesses have recently reported Bigfoot sightings around the community of Hayfork in Trinity County, northern California.
According to Bob Everett, head of the Northern California Bigfoot Organization, the latest sighting occurred on May 18 when a man spotted a huge hairy creature crossing a dirt road between Hayfork and Hyampon, two small towns on Hayfork Creek in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest.
Last October, a man named Tim Ford from Redding, California was camping with family and friends in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest when he reportedly spotted a Bigfoot.
