Trinity Hall, Cambridge - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Trinity Hall is the fifth oldest college of the University of Cambridge, founded in 1350 by William Bateman, Bishop of Norwich.
The devastation caused by the Black Death plague of the 1340s caused the loss of nearly half of the English population; Bishop Bateman himself lost nearly 700 of his parish priests, and so his decision to found a college was probably centred around a need to rebuild the priesthood.

Normally a first class degree from the University of origin will be required, and confirmation of election may be contingent upon satisfactory results in final degree examinations.
The Governing Body of Trinity Hall offers annually a Bursary to the value of £500 tenable for one academical year by a candidate not at present a member of Cambridge University who wishes to read for the Diploma in Mathematical Statistics at Trinity Hall.
In awarding the Bursary first consideration will be given to candidates who nominate Trinity Hall as their College of first preference and tenure of the Bursary is conditional on the elected student being accepted by the Board of Graduate Studies.

Trinity Hall has the smallest of all the college chapels in Cambridge, and some say the most beautiful.
The Chapel exists for every member of the Hall, and is available outside service times for private prayer and meditation any hour of the day or evening.
Worship is broadly according to the liturgy of the Church of England, but all members of the Hall and their guests are welcome to attend any of the services, as indeed are outside visitors.
