  The University Of The West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad & Tobago
Trinity Hall is the only all-female Hall of Residence at the St. Augustine Campus of the University of the West Indies.
Opened in 1972, the Hall was constructed by funds raised by the Society of Friends of the University, chaired by Sir Hugh O.B. Wodding, Former Chancellor of the University of the West Indies.
The residence was given the name "Trinity Hall" in recognition of the large number of ordinary citizens of Trinidad and Tobago (including numerous school children) who responded to the fund raising appeal.

TRINITY HALL was founded by William Bateman, Bishop of Norwich, in 1350, as the Hall of the Holy Trinity, for scholars of canon and civil law; and it continues to be peculiarly the legal College.
The Chapel was probably erected later, about 1500, for, as in the case of Clare Hall, the services were celebrated in the neighbouring Church of St. John Baptist, and subsequently, in 1445, in an aisle built on the north side of the Chancel of St Edward's Church.
It is to the munificence of Latham that the College owes not only the new combination room, but the enlargement of the Hall, and the alterations in the Master's Lodge; he also contributed a very large sum towards the erection of the Latham Buildings.

In part, I suspect that this is attributed to a rumor milling around campus that the Hall was not admitting females and was purposefully keeping the numbers abominably low.
It is an insult to my role in this organization and potentially harmful to the future of St. Anthony's Hall at Trinity when rumors such as these perpetuate a stereotype of misogyny.
I was afraid of the Hall afraid of the people there, thinking them all to be Polo-clad, Nantucket-summering, prep school brats.
