Triplicate Girl is a superhero character in the DC Comics universe, and a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes in the 30th century.
In the reimagining of Legion of Super-Heroes that occurred beginning in 2004, the origins of Triplicate Girl were revised and the character was given her original name back.
As revealed in the third issue of the new series, Triplicate Girl still comes from Cargg, as does Duo Damsel/Triad however in this version, she is the planet's only inhabitant.

The Legion of Super Heroes had Saturn Girl, another telepath, Phantom Girl, Shrinking Violet, Triplicate Girl and Lightning Lass or Light Lass, whose power went from throwing lightning bolts to making things weigh less when her brother, whose powers she shared, returned to the team.
Another who resisted the Bad Girl trend of the 90's was the She-Hulk, who really hit her stride in John's two-year tenure as writer/illustrator of her book.

Triplicate Girl's origin is an interesting one, that brings up interesting thoughts about individuality and how ones experiences make up who and what you are no matter how alike you may be in other ways.
Just the exploration of Triplicate Girl (gosh it is going to be hard to stop calling her by the much shorter to type Triad:)) character, or the secret behind the scenes plotting of Cos and Brainy would be a full plate for most comics.
It is the only one of the "girl pretends to be boy at all boys school" series I like, because the characters actions are a bit easier to relate to.

Several of the Legionnaires' costumes were changed and updated during this period, with some of the female heroes' outfits—particularly that worn by Saturn Girl, Dream Girl, and Princess Projectra—becoming especially skimpy.
For example, Colossal Boy is actually from a race of giants whose power is to shrink so he insists on being called "Micro Lad." Phantom Girl apparantly exists in two universes at once and even seems to have conversations with people in her own dimension while talking to Legionaires at the same time.

Your question got me thinking about Triplicate girl over the weekend, and here's a question.
Does Triplicate Girl incorporate the memories of her 3 selves all together once she re-combines.
Draw backs: the 3 selves would have to share a single driver's license, cell phone, flight ring, etc., or else carry aroudn 3 times as much junk with her when she's combined.

Waid plays around with the formula here, creating new circumstances and inventive ways for Triplicate Girl to use her triplicating powers.
From espionage to romancing to interrogation, Triplicate Girl is portrayed as resourceful and intelligent.
Triplicate Girl seems a bit like Madrox on the surface, but Waid worked in quite a bit of depth and complexity to it.
