Tripp County is a county located in the state of South Dakota.
The racial makeup of the county is 87.48% White, 0.03% Black or African American, 11.20% Native American, 0.06% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.08% from other races, and 1.15% from two or more races.
In the county, the population is spread out with 27.70% under the age of 18, 6.20% from 18 to 24, 24.40% from 25 to 44, 21.90% from 45 to 64, and 19.70% who are 65 years of age or older.

PIERRE -- Anthrax has killed 10 cows on a Tripp County ranch, in the second appearance of anthrax in South Dakota livestock this year.
In August, anthrax killed part of a cattle herd on a Butte County ranch.
Anthrax is a serious disease because it can cause the rapid loss of a large number of animals in a very short time, Holland said.
