Triplet lily - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Triplet lilies are the genus Triteleia of monocotyledon flowering plants.
The present article follows the recommendations of the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group.
The second taxonomic difficulty is that some common species that are now placed in genus Triteleia were formerly placed in genus Brodiaea, and as a consequence "brodiaea" has been incorporated into their common names.

YEAR-ROUND FLOWERING OF TRITELEIA LAXA 'QUEEN FABIOLA' WITH ETHYLENE TREATMENT
Triteleia laxa is sold commercially as a cut flower in the United States.
Although the plant is native to North America, almost all of the cut flowers sold in the States are imported from the Netherlands.
The results of this research will benefit the floral industry by: 1) introducing a "new" profitable crop for cut flower growers in the States; 2) reducing the production cost of each flower; and 3) allowing U.S. growers to force T. laxa year round.

Julius Caesar's famous quote about Gaul now applies to the lily genus Brodiaea--it is "divided into three parts." In Peck's Manual (1961, PM below) Brodiaea has 16 species in Oregon, but with corrections and additions we now recognize 15 species distributed in three genera :
Triteleia has 6 fertile stamens, all the anthers alike, and no staminodes; Brodiaea has 3 stamens alternating with 3 staminodes; Dichelostemma (except D.
