The mythology about the Trojan War really begins with Leda, daughter of Thestios king of Aitolia, and wife of Tyndareos king of Sparta, one of whose several children was Helen, the ostensible causa belli of the war.
At last however Helenos, the Trojan seer, captured by the guile of Odysseus, declared that only by the arrows of Herakles could the city be taken; Diomedes therefore (in Sophokles it is Neoptolemos, son of Achilles) and Odysseus went to Lemnos and induced Philoktetes to come with them.
The Trojans supposed this to be a punishment for his impiety, and hauled the horse inside the city, breaking down a part of their city wall.

 Tommy Trojan
The Trojan Shrine, more commonly known as '''Tommy Trojan''', is one of the most recognizable figures of school pride at the University of Southern California.
The Trojan Shrine was sculpted by Roger Noble Burnham and modeled based on a variety of USC football players, including Russell Saunders, Ernie Pinckert, Henry Becker and John Ward.
USC's cross-town rival UCLA traditionally vandalizes Tommy Trojan (often by painting him blue and gold) during the week of the annual USC-UCLA football game, but the university has begun covering him with copious amounts of duct tape during that week so that he is protected from the UCLA pranksters.

Crouching beneath its shadow, as Odysseus said, a man should be left to tell the Trojans a single deceiving line: that the Achaeans had sailed home, and that the horse was their offering to Athena, to appease her wrath because of the theft of the Palladium, so that she should grant a safe return.
So the horse was brought either to the shrine of Athena, in the heart of the city, or stationed beside the palace of Priam 1.
In any case, when night fell and the Trojans, after having celebrated victory, were asleep, Sinon showed his message with a shining brand to the Achaeans.

A Trojan was a special communication device that could be planted by naval commandos deep inside enemy territory.

And worse yet, the alternative parking structures that are suggested by the Shrine are often in obscure places and locations from which it's better to stay away, and from which Campus Cruiser doesn't travel.
Legally, the Shrine is able to put this policy into practice, but they do so with little consideration for the students who are left with inconvenient and frustrating options.

Neoptolemus ("new warrior") was begotten while Achilles was hiding among the Women of Scyros in an attempt to avoid serving in the Trojan War.
Although Neoptolemus would have been only about 10 years old at that time, this detail was overlooked in the legend, and he was said to have fought fiercely at Troy, winning the nickname Pyrrhus ("fiery" or "red").
During the capture of the city, he slew the Trojan king Priam—despite the fact that Priam had taken sanctuary at the altar of the great god Zeus.

A new theory about the Trojan era
If the Trojan War indeed took place, taking Homer’s word who so eloquently described it, one can conclude that it left the Achaeans and their allies devastated and in a state of weakness.
As for the Trojans, we don’t have evidence of their written language (thus far), but we do know that most of their allies were proto-Slavic speaking peoples related to them (Trojans) whose customs are surprisingly very similar to those of the modern Balkan Slavs.
According to Anthony Ambrozic and others, the Trojans were related to the Phrygians, whom we know were related to the proto-Slavic Veneti.
