  Acolouthia
Some believe that a hirmos placed at the end of a hymn should be called a catabasia (katabasia) while others hold that the catabasia is a short hymn sung by the choir, who descend from their seats into the church for the purpose.
The contakion (kontakion) is a troparion which explains briefly the character of the feast celebrated in the day's Office.
The oikos is a somewhat longer troparion, which in concise style glorifies the virtues and merits of the subject of the feast.

Paschal troparion - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Paschal troparion is the characteristic hymn for the celebration of Easter in the Eastern Orthodox Church.
The troparion is first sung following the procession around the church during the Paschal Vigil, at the beginning of Matins before the church's front door, as a refrain to a selection of verses from Psalms 67 and 117 (LXX).
The troparion was originally composed in Greek, but it is usually sung either in the local liturgical language, or in the vernacular where it is not the same.

 THE TROPARION OF KASSIANI
The Troparion of Kassiani, sung late in the evening on the HolyTuesday was one of the highlights of the church year.
It is a confessional by Mary Magdalene to her Master as she pours myrrh over His head just before His Passion, an act that was met with criticism by the disciples and particularly Judas who after that incident decided to part company with His Master and the rest of the group.
Far from being a stylistic smorgasbord, this eclecticism in the music is meant to serve the emotional/psychological underpinnings of the text.

Major feasts of the Lord have special festal antiphonal psalms with their proper refrains (the third antiphon's refrain is the troparion of the feast).
A troparion is a generic word used for a great assortment of composed hymnography.
In this case the troparion is the dismissal troparion of vespers (apolytikion), which is also used at the beginning of matins after the singing of "God is the Lord." A kontakion was originally a long poetic hymn composed of many lines with a fixed refrain.

During vespers, instead of the usual introductory prayers and Psalm 103, we repeat many times the Easter troparion because the resurrection of Christ is the crowning point of all the prophecies of the Old Testament.
By singing the troparion three times the Church also indicates that, although only the times the Church also indicates that, although only the Second Person became incarnate, each Person of the Holy Trinity cooperated in our redemption.

The Hirmos in Greek Odes is always an already existing Troparion; whereas, in Latin, the writer generally composed that as much as any other part of the Sequence.

As the faithful begin singing the troparion, "The Noble Joseph...," the priest takes the Holy Shroud on his shoulders and holding it above his head begins the procession.
The procession with the Holy Shroud is taken outside around the church and, since it symbolizes the funeral procession of Christ to the grave, is made only ONCE.
Following the sermon, the Holy Shroud was carried to the sepulchre accompanied by the faithful singing the troparion "The Noble Joseph." At the words "and put it in a new tomb," the priests entered the sepulchre and placed the Holy Shroud on the exact place where, according to tradition, Our Lord was buried.
