The tennis courts and clubhouse are adjacent to the village hall and school playing fields on the outskirts of Trottiscliffe village.
The courts overlook farmland and a beech hedge surrounding the courts was planted in 1998 with the intention of minimising wind effects.

  Mid Kent Water
During the year, four acres of land at Trottiscliffe for the erection of a Pumping Station were purchased.
Work at the Trottiscliffe Pumping Station under construction continued satisfactorily, but the demand for water in this year made it necessary to cease drilling operations there, as the supply then available from that source was urgently required.
A tender for the construction, at Trottiscliffe, of a new Reservoir and sand trap was accepted, and an order placed during the year for three Engines and Pumps.

The trackway ran the entire length of the North Downs, leading to and from Folkestone: the pilgrims turned away from it, north along the River Great Stour valley near Chilham, to reach Canterbury.
On modern Ordnance Survey maps, part of the route is shown running east from Farnham, passing to the south of Guildford, north of the village of Gomshall, north of Dorking, Reigate, Merstham, Chaldon, Godstone, Limpsfield and Westerham, through Otford, Kemsing and Wrotham, north of Trottiscliffe, towards Cuxton (where it crossed the River Medway).
South of Rochester the Pilgrims' Way travels through the villages of Burham, Boxley, Detling and continuing in a south-east direction to the north of the villages of Harrietsham and Lenham.

Some day, someone will discover in the west wall a small lead casket containing 19th century coins and photographs of the rector and parishioners in 1885, when it was built into repair work.
Trottiscliffe is well of the beaten track and has had no shop since the former Post Office in Taylor's Lane closed in 1984.
It still has two public houses, though - The George and The Plough, both about five hundred years old - which attract quite a lot of visitors.
