January, two coaches left the Lordos Beach Hotel to transport Synod delegates, guests and observers during their Quiet Day programme.
The monastery of St. George Mavrovouniou at Troulli was the first destination, about half an hour’s drive away.
Set apart from a winding road and built on the lower slopes of a hillside, this peaceful location provided an ideal setting for such a place of contemplation.
