		Troy Donockley's second solo disc cannot in any way be described as mainstream classical but is an absolute stunner nonetheless.
		Donockley is best known as a member of the brilliant Celtic Christian rock group Iona, who have made many magnificent recordings (e.g.
		It ranges far and wide, from almost whispered, melancholic vocals (this time by Troy himself) set against tintinnabulating bells, through string driven meditations to full on choir and organ and sequenced arpeggios, and really has to be heard to be believed.

		Troy Donockley plays the various woodwind instruments and pipes, and so it is not surprising that they are prominent in this, his first solo recording.
		The track is apparently named for a stream where Donockley played as a child (there's a photo in the album sleeve) and the music could suggest the flow of a stream as it moves from calm gentle brook, to rapids, through gentle stretches, joining with more streams, and onwards.
		Iona fans will want this album in their collections--the various musicians involved in Iona seem to be building up a selection of albums that explore in greater depth the various tributaries that combine to form the band's sound, and this particular tributary makes for a beautiful and often captivating exploration.

		Encircling was maybe one of the highlights of the evening, a real prog song, tempo changes, great guitar solo's, Troy at the top of his skills and Joana using her voice to the max.
		Troy has an all-round musicianship and his playing is superb, the other band members have got that high craftsmanship too.

		What really made me sit up and take notice of this album as soon as it arrived was the fact that it was recorded in Lincoln Cathedral, my favourite cathedral in all England.
