Ruttman was presented with an opportunity to run in the ACRA race at Chicagoland this past weekend.
After qualifying in the fourth position with hopes of his 4th ARCA victory, Ruttman had to settle for a 19th place finish after the engine dropped a valve.
Ruttman, who is currently number four in the points standings, gives an added dimension of competitiveness to Jim Rosenblum Racing’s Campaign.

 Troy Ruttman
In 1945, at the age of 15, Troy entered the family car in a roadster race at San Bernardino, California and came home a winner.
Injuries from a sprint car crash in August of 1952 sidelined Ruttman for one and a half seasons and when he returned in 1954 it was on a greatly reduced schedule.
Sadly, Troy passed away in 1997, just a month before the long planned “Troy Ruttman Day” in his hometown of Mooreland, Oklahoma.

Troy's career had pretty much ended by the time most men are just at their prime, as injuries had started to take their toll on him and he decided to retire from racing.
Troy passed away a couple of years ago, and here to receive his Hall of Fame induction is his son Joshua Troy Ruttman.

May 30, 1952: Troy Ruttman and car owner J. Agajanian celebrate in Victory Lane at Indianapolis.
Ruttman was 22 when he won the Indianapolis 500 in 1952, the youngest driver ever to win the race.
Odd coincidence: Ruttman "inherited" the Indianapolis victory when Bill Vukovich crashed while leading with nine laps to go, and Chuck Stevenson "inherited" the 1952 championship when Ruttman could no longer race that year.
