The Daschers received the Renville County Outstanding Conservationist award at the Minnesota Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (MASWCD) Annual Convention in Bloomington.
The Renville SWCD chose to honor the Daschers for the variety of conservation practices they have installed not only on their own land but for assisting their landlords install conservation practices.

WHEREAS, Renville County is aware of the Minnesota Attorney General's Office's desire to be present during pending mediation and settlement negotiations with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and ValAdCo that relate especially to ValAdCo Farm No. 2, in Section 27.
Norfolk Township, Renville County, and that the Minnesota Attorney General's Office may have ultimate authority to enforce any stipulation that would come out of those proceedings and would have the authority if those negotiations break down, and even if they don't, to institute public nuisance law actions.
