Truce of Deulino (also known as Peace or Treaty of Dywilino), was signed in 11th December 1618 and concluded the Dymitriad wars (also known as the Polish-Muscovite War (1605-1618)) between the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and Muscovite Russia.
The Truce gave the Commonwealth control over some conquered territories, including the city of Smolensk (Smoleńsk Voivodship) and Czernichów Voivodship and proclaimed a 14 and a half year truce.
In 1632 the Truce of Deulino expired, and hostilities were immediately resumed in the course of a conflict known as the Smolensk War, which ended in the Treaty of Polanów in 1635.

It was Ossolinski who concluded the advantageous truce of Stuhmsdorf with Sweden, arranged the lucrative marriage of Wladislaus with the Austrian Archduchess Cecilia, and preserved unbroken the friendship between the Republic and the Roman Curia in the most difficult circumstances.
The nominal " truce " of Andrusovo proved to be one of the most durable peaces in history, though, but for the persistent ill-luck of Poland, at this period, it is doubtful whether it would ever have been signed at all.
At the root of the collapse of Poland was the ceaselessly gnawing worm of aristocratic lawlessness.

Bagration replied that he was not authorised to accept or to decline a truce, and sent his adjutant to Kutuzov with a report of the proposition made to him.
A truce gave Kutuzov the only possibility of gaining time, of letting Bagration’s exhausted forces rest, and of getting the transport and heavy convoys (the movement of which was concealed from the French) a further stage on their journey.
Winzengerode was instructed not only to accept the truce, but to propose terms of capitulation, while Kutuzov meanwhile sent his adjutants back to hasten to the utmost the transport of the luggage of the whole army along the Krems and Znaim road.

Another important conflict in his reign was the Polish-Muscovite War (1605-1618), also known as The Dymitriads.
Sigismund and many Polish magnates attempted to exploit the Muscovite civil war (the Time of Troubles), and after a lengthy war the 1618 Truce of Deulino gave some territorial concessions to the Commonwealth (mainly the Smoleńsk Voivodship).
Nonetheless, this war increased tensions between Poland and Russia, and ruined the prospects for a Polish-Lithuanian-Muscovy Commonwealth.
