True Neutral is at once the rarest and the most common alignment in the multiverse.

 Alignment
A character may be neutral in the moral dimension or the ethical dimension or both; neutrality in both dimensions is called True Neutral.
Thus, a Chaotic Neutral could be so dedicated to the notion of individual freedom, that good and evil are meaningless concepts used by others to cloud the essential issue of independence, and a Neutral Evil could imagine that ideas of Law and Chaos are merely the efforts of others to steal his wealth or power.
Alignments which are part neutral are generally more dedicated to that aspect of the alignment which is not neutral; those which combine one extreme with another (the "corner" alignments on the tic-tac-toe board) constantly play off one value against the other.

Neutral Accepting: (don't care about the people, love the scene) These characters believe that a balance of forces is important, but that the party atmosphere and vibe should not be at the expense of turning people away at the door.
True Neutrals do their best to avoid siding with either promoters or partykids, DJs or scensters, although they do have a tendancy to side with the underdog--sometimes even changing sides as the previous loser becomes the winner.
A True Neutral partykid might help out Promoters by flyering and coaxing everyone to come to their parties, only to stop and maybe even begin an active campaign denouncing them when they get too big and start monopolizing the local scene.

Druids must be neutral along at least one axis (although in prior editions of the game, they had to be neutral on both axes).
Neutral Good has sometimes been described as the "purest" form of good, without bias towards law or chaos, though this has fallen out of favor recently with most of the gods of good being declared "Lawful Good", as well as their attendant servants.
This is not true for the newer rules,as druids are allowed to be of any neutral alignment in the more recent 3.5 rules.

AD&D Character Creation 4:  Select Character Alignment
A Druid must be true neutral, and must maintain druidic neutrality in both dimensions, balancing good with evil and law with chaos in everything.
Also, although Lawful Neutral is not forbidden, the red-robed "neutral" wizards are expected to pass their initiation without breaking the "laws of chaos", so this alignment is somewhat anomalous in this class.
A True Neutral could use good and evil (pragmatically) to promote balance (druidically) between law and chaos, or (obliviously) regard law and chaos as sophistry which detracts from the pursuit of (druidic) balance between good and evil.

 Neutral Grays
In most cases, a true neutral will not be produced; it will likely shift towards one direction of hue and/or chroma (i.e.: warmer or cooler).
Thus, if one mixes a Neutral Gray with a transparent color with the goal of creating a certain value, the amount of Neutral Gray added must be significantly less than if working with a more opaque color.
Some experimental mixing should be done to ensure that the amount of a Neutral Gray added does not diminish all of the chroma and hue characteristics of the color blended with the Neutral Gray.

Hence, the side neutral stance is a true neutral position in that it allows the practitioner to change his body position in relation to how an opponent advances.
Looking at the use of the side neutral stance from a psychological perspective (both your's and your opponent's), we understand that it is not an aggressive stance in terms of body language, especially compared to a front stance with your 'dukes up'.
When examining the shoot applied by grapplers to take their opponent to the foor, it is immediately evident that the neutral side stance's strength lies in its ability to allow you to sidestep the shoot efficiently as well as not presenting your lead leg to your opponent.
