Trumpton ( 1967) is a stop-motion children's television show from the producers of Camberwick Green.
The action in the new series moves to the imaginary town of Trumpton, not far from Camberwick Green.
The show was immortalized by the cult 80's indie band Half Man Half Biscuit with their song "Trumpton Riots" which contained humourous, satirical references to the show.

Partially out of nostalgia and partially because I reckoned my 2 year old son would enjoy it, I ordered the DVD of Trumpton.
Ironically, the aspects which I find annoying as an adult such as the large fraction of each episode which rely on stock shots (opening sequence, fireman and band scene) probably provides my son with a degree of stability and repetition absent in other children's programmes.
