Whereas a painting is experienced visually, a symphony experienced audibly, a heavy metal band's "image" and the common theme that binds all their music is expressed in the artwork on the album, the set of the stage, the tone of the lyrics, the clothes of the band, in addition to the sound of the music.
The cover is of a dramatic Egyptian pyramid scene and many of the songs on the album have subject matter that requires a sound suggestive of life and death, including a song entitled "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner," based on the poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

Truth goes a little bit deeper with this song’s subject matter as she tries her hardest to make her soon-to-be-ex have a change of heart about their relationship.
Truth piles on the attitude here as she calls this guy’s bluff and tells him that he may want what he wants but he can’t forget about what she wants too.
The record is far too short as 41:52 and Truth’s lyrical content, albeit good, seems to be limited as she focuses a bit too much on the physical and sexual side of love instead of exploring all the aspects of it to a balanced extent, which could ultimately render her view of love one-sided.

Theres only 2 songs on this album that are really catchy and are good enough for a "Greatest Hits" album, they're being "The Importance of Being Idle" and "Meaning of Soul" which is weird because these are the two most different songs to anything that Oasis has done in the past.
And the opening of the first track (Turn up the Sun) of this new album seems to suggest the same stolid shadow like remembering of the old formula..until it suddenly bursts into life with a haunting riff that is quite unlike anything oasis have done previously.

I have read a lot about this album, but despite the fact that I am a big JB fan I have never own the album until now.
The album is even better than expected, and even the sound quality is rather good despite the age of the recordings.
Beck shows on this that he is capable of turning his hand to anything, from blues, folk and jazz to out and out psychedelia and on the way produces a record that would soon become a masterclass in musicianship.

One of the things that both of these albums do well is go back and forth between "wackier" songs like "Pencil Rot" and more conventional-sounding, soft rockin' numbers like this.
Again to compare this album to SM's last one, where that one had a song that was like 8 minutes, this album has this song, which is 8 minutes long exactly.
Where as that last album was full of Stephen Malkmus as J Mascis-style guitar wackiness, this is one of the few tracks on here where he really allows himself to stretch out.

While details are unavailable, sources told MemphisRap.com that the "Mafia All Day" album project is currently slated to be released with the full support of national distribution from a major label which will be announced at a later date.
