	Trzcianka - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Trzcianka (German: Schönlanke) is a town in the Greater Poland region in Poland.
		There is a mention of Trzcianka in a document dated 1245.
		In this year the Polish king Bolesław Wstydliwy gave the land in the valley of Notec river to Sedziwoj of Czarnków.

	History
		According to a document of Polish King Bolesław Wstydliwy from 1245, first settlement was built on the spot of present Trzcianka in 13th century.
		Textile industry gave rise to the town, and the settlement of weavers created at the end of the 17th century was already called Trzcianka Łąka (Meadow).
		On 27th January 1945 Trzcianka was liberated and after 173 years it came back to Polish borders.

	Opalenica
		At one time there were lines to Komorowo (34km), Nowy Tomysl (18km from the junction at Trzcianka Zachodnia), Duszniki (10km from Trzcianka Zach.), Turowo (9km from Sliwno on the Duszniki branch) and Sedziny (10km from Rudniki Dwor I) giving a total network length of 81km.
